Fact and Opinion Writing - My Neighbourhood

WALT understand the difference between fact and opinion.

Write two informative pieces about your neighbourhood (Panmure, Glen Innes, Point England etc).  In the first box, use opinions to guide your writing.  In the second box, use facts.  The two should both ‘sound formal.’

Opinion I think that my neighbourhood is the neighbourhood because it is the most peaceful place in New Zealand. I think that our shops in panmure and G.I because it is the best place to hang out with your friends because people can also go to the library were there are books and computer, and also Point England reserve is a good place to have a family picnic because there is a beach and a beautiful park near by.  Panmure is the most quiets place were you can wake up to every day to a beautiful peace and quiet community, you can walk around to no harm people around our community are peaceful.

Fact Did you know that panmure roundabout is New Zealand famous most people around the world know that roundabout. Did you know that Glen Innes is close to the tamaki river, were it is peaceful and were people love to go for walks.
